Lecture Notes in Computer ScienceWe discuss the relation between the notions of information content and entropy and their relations with the problem of irreversibility. The notion of information content is not uniquely defined and we analyze various definitions and their physical meaning. We think that this analysis shed new light on the problem of irreversibility.
