Evolved Gliders and Waves on a Geodesic Grid,A 2D grid can be mapped onto a 3D torus without introducing cell neighborhood discontinuities. This mapping introduces some geometrical distortion, but no topological artifacts — no discontinuities in grid connectivity. This is not the case when mapping a grid onto a sphere, which has positive curvature everywhere.
