Strategic optimization of powertrain technology portfolios by means of market simulation,ransportation sector, stringent targets regulating new vehicle CO2 fleet emissions were adopted. In 2020, new vehicles should emit less than 95 g/km CO2 on average. Reducing those targets even further is currently under discussion. Possible targets for 2025 range between 68 g/km and 78 g/km and 2030 targets ranging from 50 g/km to 70 g/km.
