https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-662-30020-6The role of non-stoichiometry during the high temperature deformation of oxides is examined, in relation to the various creep mechanisms. It is shown that in NaCl-type oxides, Cu.O and UO., the creep-rate is controlled by the slowest diffusing species.
