Why Would I Want to Use Binoculars to View the Sky?,s of the Moon and planets and fine detail in some deep-sky objects. However, many objects in the sky are too large to fit into the field of view of a high-power eyepiece. These objects demand a wide field of view to appreciate their beauty and delicate form (See Fig. 15.1).

Joseph K. Nsabimana,Eva Jordansotes. My first observing notebook is filled with cryptic things like “Wow” or “Not much”. You can do better than that! If you take the time to find it, at least document it with some description of the object. Even if you don’t plan to ever look at this faint fuzzy again, give it a decent epitaph.
