Mapping Design Thinking in the Arab Worldmany non-specialists. This paper discusses aspects of observational accuracy achieved by untrained observers using standard CCD cameras at 0.5 and 1-m class telescopes in South Africa and Chile. Our experience illustrates that calibrated photometry of comets cannot be accomplished without dedicated observing.
