Hybrid Generator (HG) Concept,give some background to the hybrid generator (HG) concept. A three-phase high-voltage synchronous generator (SG) design is used to benchmark the high-voltage HG. The benchmark machine is an 11 kV, 5.52 MW SG chosen since its power and speed ratings are close to those typical of wind generation system applications.
