Lampung,in facsimile the collection of Lampung manuscripts brought back by the former Governor General Sloet van de Beele (143). Not only the phonetic system deviates considerably from that of Malay, but also in its morphology the language proves to possess a structure of its own. However, in the vocabulary Malay influence is very strong and one may assume that it is still on the increase.
