One should not assume the existence of a unifying and basic critical approach. As crises are manifold, so are critiques. It is this understanding of critique that I want to associate to critical mathematics education.

All Studentse part of the expertise that will bring mathematics into action and contribute to the power that can be exercised through such actions. It is important that university students in mathematics do not get inveigled into a banality of mathematical expertise, but become prepared for addressing different features of the mathematics-power relationship.
