Centers for Holocaust Survivors and Their Families, stress, Holocaust survivors and their families were experiencing the long-term aftereffects of their horrendous experiences. Yael Danieli’s research (1988,1998) and work with survivors and their families was the impetus for others and gave the prototype for survivor-related programs. Several of these programs are described in this chapter.
