An Architecture for a Portable Grid-Enabled Engineuses both interpreted and binary objects constructed around text-based mathematical descriptions of those objects and their classes. A first prototype engine has been implemented that achieves some functionality and a fully functional model is under development.

Dynamic Adaptation of Parallel Codes: Toward Self-Adaptable Components for the Grider focuses on the adaptation mechanisms that are provided as a meta-level for components. We describe how a generic platform can help to develop efficient Grid software. First experimental results show the gain that can be expected from the use of such a platform.
