Community Radio and Development: Tribal Audiences in South India Kotas, Kurumbas, Irulas, and Badagas in 1993 in an attempt to empower tribal audiences of this region. In order to focus this research, the Todas and Kotas were selected, as their lives mostly revolve around agriculture, and hence emphasis would be on how and why they choose to listen to agricultural programs for development.
