Superstrings: Tying It All Together,Until recently, estimates of the residual circulation of the Arabian Gulf have been based mainly on observations of the drifts of ships underway and on arguments based on the distribution of salinity. Both of these methods are prone to errors, and in an effort to improve our knowledge in this area, two analyses have been undertaken:温和女人 发表于 2025-3-25 09:11:27

The tidal currents are excluded because this part of the currents is already presented by Brockmann et al. (1981), who base their investigations on the same model and the same observations.Rotator-Cuff 发表于 2025-3-25 17:58:32

On the Dynamics of Coastal CurrentsThe main factors governing time dependent and steady coastal circulation are discussed. For barotropic flows the actual bottom topography is shown to play an important role while baroclinic currents have been related to buoyancy fluxes and effects of entrainment.connoisseur 发表于 2025-3-26 01:27:20

On the Circulation of the Stratified North Seare compared with the sparse observational information available on currents with long time scales. The influence of stratification and the consequences of its seasonal changes on the circulation in a wind-driven tidal shelf sea are illustrated by a number of model experiments.
