The Society of Pediatric Psychology (Section 5), 1968/1980—ettings and research in child health psychology. It began as an organization in 1968 but did not become an official Division 12 section until 1980. The Section on the Theory and Practice of Group Psychotherapy (Section 7), 1988–1991later, in 1991. The only president it ever had was Arthur Teicher, who also served as representative to Division 12 during most of the section’s existence. The Spinoff of Other Specialty Groups Related to Division 12 could be considered a scientific field in the same sense as physiology was defined as a science. What is often not recalled is that according to Wundt, another whole side of psychology existed that did not so easily lend itself to scientific methods such as formal experimentation.
