Past Climates of the Tropics,ime scale. This final chapter is a preliminary synopsis of climate and circulation conditions in the tropics in the geological past. The available field evidence limits this attempt mainly to the last 30 000 years. For the more distant past refer to the comprehensive review of Crowley (1983).
