Climate Changes and Insolation in the Mediterranean Basin: The Case of Montenegroegro show that insolation is high (most of the country has an annual average of 2200–2600 h) and quite stable. Therefore the Mediterranean region has good potential for the development of solar energy, in general. This is supported by the fact that the period after 1990 (1991–2018) in most parts of Montenegro is sunnier than the period 1961–1990.
