Then we propose to use temporal expressions to build up the temporal patterns. It seems to us, that the ontological primitives usually used in AI-systems are too complex and too exact to real applications.

Why the Asian Craze for Publication?an and the covariance. For this purpose spatially varying coefficients are introduced. In applications we obtained more appropriate models as well as further insight into the structure of spatial data. The Mercer and Hall wheat-yield data are presented as example.

Fixed Point Clusters and Their Relation to Stochastic Modelsint Clustering to parameter estimation in stochastic models will be discussed. FPCs use stochastic models as orientation rather than as basis. They are mainly a tool for explorative data analysis and model building. FPCs are a useful alternative to other clustering approaches at least in clusterwise Linear Regression.

Ordinal Regressioncorrelated attributes and points out the places where the ordinal data are most probabely closer together than at other places. At these places adjacent categories are grouped together into one category. This metod is illustrated in a comparison of linear regression of the rescaled values and the original measured ordinal values.
