Introduction: Cultures of Citizenships the conditions necessary to support forms of political learning focused on identifying common interests and values. The conceptual framework and CES method were developed and executed in a Leadership and Practice course in the spring of 2015 at a Research Intensive Land-grant institution.

Religion in International Relationsbackgrounds can have more difficulty navigating civic engagement. This chapter offers a much needed quantitative assessment of whether classroom engagement enhances civic and community engagement among students from disadvantaged backgrounds who attend large public research universities.

Modeling the Influence of Service-Learning on Academic and Sociocultural Gains: Findings from a Multstudent perceptions of sociocultural gains as well as between service-learning and students’ civic-oriented behaviors (both in- and out-of-class). Students’ citizenship and civic behaviors (both in- and out-of-class) were found to play a mediating role between service-learning and sociocultural outcomes.
