Comparative Study of Cerebellar Somatosensory Representations the Importance of Micromapping and Nar cortex. One of our long term goals at Wisconsin is to map spatial patterns of somatosensory projections to cerebellar cortex in a select variety of mammals in search of general principles of patterns of organization.

Parasagittal Zonation of the Cerebellum in Macaques: An Analysis based on Acetylcholinesterase Histbellar nucleus (Korneliussen, 1967, 1968a,b; Kappel, 1981; Wassef and Sotelo, 1984). This arrangement resembles the arrangement of the Purkinje cells in adult mammals in longitudinal zones which are characterized by their corticonuclear projection (Voogd, 1964, 1969; Voogd and Bigaré, 1980).

Cerebellar Inhibition of the Interior Olive,s, for example, whether the preparation is intact or decerebrate). In addition, the fluctuations have different characteristics in different climbing fibre zones (see, e.g. Oscarsson and Sjölund, 1977).

The superior longitudinal fasciculus is the corticocortical pathway linking parieto-occipital cortex with prefrontal areas. Most people still assume that it is the main route for visuomotor control - but it contains only a few hundred thousand fibres.
