Back-Phosphorylation — A Sensitive Technique to Study Protein Phosphorylation in the Intact HeartPeuch et al. 1979) and protein kinase C (Movsesian et al. 1984). Troponin I, the inhibitory subunit of the troponin complex, is localized in the myofilaments. Its phosphorylation in vitro by cAMP-PrK has been shown to reduce the calcium sensitivity of contractile proteins (Ray and England 1976).
