Nets, Cats and Pigs: Carl Adam Petri and His SlidesCarl Adam Petri never wrote a book, and his few papers are generally not written in the standard format of scientific articles, being so rich and dense that they constitute a serious challenge for readers, even experts. On the other hand, he dedicated great care to his slides, preparing a new collection for almost every talk he gave.

Petri Nets and Petri’s Nets: A Personal PerspectiveThroughout his academic career the author has been mainly concerned with the theoretical aspects of Petri nets. However, he always felt that they are also a powerful model to be applied when solving important practical problems in various areas related to concurrent system design and analysis.
