Reassessment of data relating to the multinet theory of microfibil reorientation,available from studies by Probine and Preston (1961), Frei and Preston (1961a, b), Green and Chapman (1955), Green (1958, 1960a) and Gertel and Green (1977). Each of those sets of data will be discussed and reanalysed to the extent practicable. In addition, reference will be made to some more recent observations that are claimed to support MGH.
