Jean-Pierre Courtiat,Djamel-Eddine Saïdouniresh smears were found by J. Goldman and P. Hornby to be in the range of 0.16 joules exit energy. It was noted that white cells in the same field showed little effect when these blood smears were stained after exposure. There was little effect on platelets unless dyed.
