Pathologic Mineralization, Nucleation, Growth, and Retention,nown, their kinetics of formation in vivo are largely unknown. A general paradigm for the study of in vivo mineralization has yet to be developed. The whole subject area is rife with speculation and half-baked ideas, some of which are my own.
