Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) and Peptide Binding,. The binding of short peptides (8–20 residues long) to MHC molecules have an important role in T-cell-mediated immune response. The binding prediction of peptides to MHC is challenging due to its sequence polymorphism among ethnic groups. Here, we discuss issues in human MHC genes and methods for MHC-peptide binding prediction.
