The Structure of Antibodies,nd man contain two principal N-terminal amino acids. After reduction or denaturation, no new N-terminal amino acid residues appear. Hence, a reliable evaluation of the number of peptide chains in the immunoglobulin molecule cannot be obtained from these investigations.
