North-Atlantic Decadal Climate Variability in a Coupled Atmosphere/Ocean/Sea-Ice Model of Moderatethe Greenland Sea, the Labrador Sea and the area close to Bermuda (Deser and Blackmon 1993, Kushnir 1994). Unstable air/sea interactions might well occur in this area, potentially affecting climate variability on various time-scales.

David Hogan,Trivina Kang,Melvin Chane properties of the equatorial thermocline because of an influx of water from higher latitudes. The influx affects equatorial sea surface temperatures and hence the tropical and extra-tropical winds that in turn affect the influx. Such processes can give rise to continual interdecadal oscillations.
