Improving the Performance of the Vertex Elimination Algorithm for Derivative Calculation,resent a statement reordering scheme based on a greedy list scheduling algorithm using ranking functions. This statement reordering will enable us to trade off the exploitation of the instruction level parallelism of such processors with the reduction in memory accesses.

Two papers describe the modifications of the compiler infrastructure that were required to provide forward-mode AD capabilities . The reverse mode presented in this paper makes extensive use of these features.

The correction of some of the problems that appeared using techniques of automatic differentiation are described. The skew quadrupole correction problems are addressed in more detail, and different schemes of correction are proposed.
