Influence of Atomic Effects on Nuclear Reaction Energiesifetimes of a few nuclear periods. Since such experiments until now were never performed with all the reaction partners beeing bare nuclei and since present day accuracy is in many instances well below 1 keV attention has to be given to the unavoidable interaction of the electronic neighbourhood of the interacting nuclei.
