One Dimension,Some differential equations are solved in one dimension. The first is Laplace’s equation. Its only Solution is Ø(.) =. + . where the constants .,. are set by the boundary conditions. A second order equation always has two constants. The Solution is dull: it is a straight line.

Fourier Transforms,ansforms, and wavelet transforms. The Laplace transform has only one type and is rather simple. The Fourier transform has many different varieties that depend on the space under investigation. The method depends on the dimensions of the space and whether it is bounded. Wavelets are a new type of transform.
