Schistosomiasis in the Immunosuppressed Host: Studies on the Host-Parasite Relationship of Schistosoectomy (as in the earliest experiments), or more conveniently by adult thymectomy, and total body irradiation (Miller ., 1963) or by congenital thymic aplasia (Pantelouris, 1968), have been very widely used to study the interface between infectious agents and immunological defence mechanisms.

The Validity of in vitro Models for the Study of Chemotherapeutic Agents in Theileriosisan parasite . probably causes even greater losses in the Middle East, through Central Asia and India, but no drug is currently available to treat theileriosis effectively and there is no satisfactory small animal model for theileriosis.
