Eclipse Phenomena in Radio Astronomy, hypothesis that O-GlcNAc and phosphorylation may compete with each other for sites on proteins. Future studies using inhibitors such as PUGNAc should help us to understand the functional implications of O-GlcNAc modification on proteins.
