Computerized Data Handling in Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometrysing of unresolved mixtures is reviewed. EPA published their experience of the analysis of aqueous samples by gc/ms. This problem, similar to that of Cost-action 64b is discussed in detail. Finally some aspects of the work of the working party “Computerized Data Processing” are given.

Determination of Organic Water Pollutants by the Combined Use of High-Performance Liquid Chromatograrmal- and reversed-phase separation systems in HPLC and the use of HPLC as a preparative separation before detailed analysis by HRGC and HRGC/MS. Several examples of such applications are presented including determinations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, oil hydrocarbons, alkyl phenols and alkylphenolpolyethoxylates.
