Electron Beam Curing of Compositesverns the response of an acoustic fluid, the effect of the surrounding fluid on the response of a spring-mass system is studied. A submerged rigid cylinder, which may be considered as the model of a bridge pier, is subjected to a sinusoidal excitation. The hydrodynamic force acting on the cylinder is calculated analytically.

Performance Analysis of a SMC Panel Mouldingthe same shell in vacuo is also investigated. The effect of the fluid-shell interaction on the displacements, stresses and the base moment of the shell is discussed. It was noted that the presence of the fluid may increase the base moment by quite a significant percentage.
