Melanie Johns Cupp,Timothy S. Tracye examples of moving average filters and show how we can interpret geometrically the variation of the system’s frequency response. The advantages of the Moving Average Filters are that they have a finite impulse response length. A disadvantage of MA filters is that they are not very selective.

Deconvolution by the complex cepstrum method is introduced. It is illustrated with an example inspired from seismic measurements.

Fourier Transform and LTI Filter Systems, its replica which is detailed. The spreads of a signal in time and frequency domains are defined. The Heisenberg–Gabor inequality is demonstrated. We show the impossibility for a signal to have infinite supports simultaneously in time and frequency domains.
