Foreign women, like men, wanted to be qualified to study where the highest standards of scholarship could be expected, for some time they attempted to gain access to German universities even while official status as students could not yet be granted to them.

Grace Chisholm Young, William Henry Young, Their Results on the Theory of Sets of Points at the Begi couple Young worked together.
