Lagrangian statistics of inertial particles in turbulent flow then affected by so called inertial effects, deviates from that of fluid particles. One critical and difficult point is to develop models which correctly describe the dynamics of particles over a wide range of sizes and density.

3-D Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) in gas flows using coloured tracer particlesthis work is to employ coloured particles and use the associated separation into different colour classes. Considering separately each resulting colour class, the apparent particle density is decreased without restrictions in the measurement accuracy.
