Synthesis and Manufacture of PLA,bout accelerator-driven transmutation with emphasis on Pu-incineration and makes a general overview of some of the research activities in ADS. Possible impact of accelerators on nuclear energy production and transmutation of nuclear wastes is preliminary assessed.

As a result of the latter in some (mostly Western) countries no more nuclear power plants are built — at least for some time. In countries with less public concerns nuclear power plants are commissioned.
