The Organ of Hearing and Equilibrium,rbations for all strings in a tanpura are found to be separately coherent while the behaviour between the parameters are not coherent. The nature of the perturbations and their mutual correlation indicate that the source of the perturbations may not lie in the global resonance structure of the tanpura.
