Adventitious Bud Production from Mature ,: Rejuvenation Associated with Female Strobili Formationimordia was obtained only when strobili were collected at about the time of meiosis. Adventitious buds arose mainly from the outside edges of strobili discs; some also arose from the cut surface of the ovuliferous scales. The frequency of adventitious bud formation varied from tree to tree, indicating intraspecific variation in bud formation.

Optimizing Potential for Adventitious Shoot Organogenesis in Hybrid , Explants , with Wound Treatmenalcium nitrate (7.05 to 9.4 mM) with optimal BA and NAA concentrations enhanced regeneration potential of micro- cross sections of 2 clones, but not of the most recalcitrant clone. Micro-cross section are excellent expiant for obtaining large numbers of uniform adventitious shoots from minimum amount of material in a short regeneration time.

Somaclonal Variation in , Hybrids Regenerated from Protoplast Cultureavily pubescent leaves in highly convoluted, brittle leaves. (3) Dwarf fast-growing tree with ovate, pale green leaves and a tendency for heavy branching. Leaves show sectoring of pubescence levels. Possible explanations for the variation observed are offered.
