Connectionism, Knowledge Representation, and Effective Reasoninge must provide a detailed computational account of how such knowledge may be represented and such inferences drawn with requisite efficiency. The structure preserving translation of symbolic systems into connectionist networksceptual behaviour, such as high-level vision and high-level speech (syntax, semantics).
