NarrowCast: A New Link-Layer Primitive for Gossip-Based Sensornet Protocolsf the approximations with Trickle, a state-of-the-art gossiping protocol, and X-MAC, a popular link layer based on low-power listening. -FSOM: Fair Link Scheduling Optimization for Energy-Aware Data Collection in Mobile Sensor Networksopose a heuristic to approximate the optimal scheduling solution in polynomial time. We use empirical link quality data to evaluate the .-FSOM heuristic in a realistic setting and compare its performance to other heuristics.
