Environmental Science and Engineeringthe suitability of a number of emerging high speed networks as carriers of this type of traffic. A detailed description of one particular emulation, that of an FDDI network, is given in this paper followed by some preliminary performance results. Finally the future direction of the emulation work is outlined.
